Appointments and Walk-Ins

The centre operates on an appointment system and reserve appointments released on the day for emergencies and those matters that can’t wait.

To help us run on time please arrange longer appointment times for special conditions such as health checks, surgical procedures, implanon insertion and mental health care plans when you phone. Most of the doctors allow 12-15 mins for a standard consultation only.

If your usual doctor is not available please feel free to see any of the other doctors in the Centre. You are also able to change doctors if you wish. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know well in advance so that we can give your appointment to someone else.

We are also providing telehealth option for all our existing patients who hold a valid Medicare card or eligible private health fund. Please note this option is only available to those who have physically visited the practice over the past 12 months. Private fees can apply with certain private health funds. Please speak to our reception team for more information.

In case of Medical Emergencies

Emergencies will be attended to immediately. Patients with appointments will be contacted if there is any unforeseen delay or your doctor has been called away, please ensure we have your correct details when making an appointment.

To comply with Medicare requirements, our practice requires patients to be physically present for all consultations. Parents, guardians or other third parties cannot attend consultations on a patient's behalf.

This policy applies to both in-person and telehealth video consultations. For telehealth consultations, the patient must be visible on a video call or able to participate directly in the consultation with the doctor or health professional.

The only exceptions are:
- For consultations involving children under 16 years old, a parent or legal guardian must be present.
- For patients with a legal guardian appointed due to intellectual disability or other decision-making impairment, the legal guardian must be present.
- In limited circumstances where a third party's presence is required to provide language interpretation or other assistance for the patient during the consultation. In these cases, the patient's prior consent for the third party's presence must be obtained and documented in the medical record.

Allowing parents, guardians or other third parties to attend consultations on a patient's behalf would violate Medicare requirements and compromise patient privacy and consent. Our staff are trained to verify the identity of the patient participating in each consultation.

Doctor and Patient

After Hours Home Visits

All of the centres have paid subscription for the home visits program provided by the National Home Doctor Service. This enables us to provide the best clinical service to patients even during after hours, and allows follow up on patients who require medical care when the Centre is closed.

If you need a doctor to visit your home after the clinic opening hours, you may contact National Home Doctor Service at 13 74 25 (13 SICK) and they will send a doctor to your home and BULK BILL you for the clinical service.
Your regular doctor in the practice will receive a fax report from them on the next day about your visit.

Their services are available at weeknights, weekends and public holidays.
