Meet Dr Chan.
Dr Jessica Chan graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Doctor of Medicine (MD). She undertook her specialist training in respiratory and sleep medicine at John Hunter Hospital, Sutherland Hospital and Wollongong Hospital.
She has a keen interest in a broad range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, sleep apnoea and lung cancer. She is accredited in performing a variety of respiratory procedures, including fine bore intercostal catheter insertion and flexible bronchoscopy.
Dr Chan developed a strong interest in respiratory medicine early in her career, finding fulfilment in providing comprehensive, individualised care for patients. Her clinical approach combines evidence-based practice with clear communication and a strong emphasis on patient-centred decision-making.
In addition to her clinical commitments, Dr Chan is deeply committed to medical education. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Teaching and Supervision from the University of Newcastle, and is passionate about teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Dr Chan speaks Cantonese in addition to English.
